LLCN is recruiting study participants!

Dr. Karen Emmorey, JDP Graduate Student Emily Saunders, and visiting undergraduates from Gallaudet University attend the International CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) Conference in downtown San Diego to disseminate our research results and recruit participants for new studies.

LLCN received funding from NSF to support two deaf interns to work this summer (2024) on an eye-tracking project investigating the source of the reading efficiency that we observe in deaf readers (by studying CODAs). The position is open to graduate student or a senior undergrad who would like research experience. Applicants are asked to submit a resume, a letter of recommendation from their Ph.D. advisor (for graduate students) or from a faculty member (for undergraduates), and a 1-2 page summary of their research interests and career goals to Dr. Karen Emmorey (kemmorey@sdsu.edu). The application deadline is April 19.
